Non-Profit Financial Literacy Education

Mark Timmick is proud to be a member of The Society for Financial Awareness (SOFA), a 501(c)3 not-for-profit educational speakers' bureau. Mark is President of the Howard County, MD Chapter. SOFA's members are comprised of professionals in financial, tax, real estate, mortgage, wellness, and estate planning that share a common desire to advance the level of financial literacy for the public at large. There is so much to be learned that is never taught in school and SOFA provides the platform from which to make this information readily available. SOFA provides this service by offering free on-site educational programs to businesses, government agencies, religious organizations and other private groups. SOFA also conducts seminars for the general public.

Our workshops help people to become aware of risk management, saving and investment strategies, tax savings techniques, and much more.
